About Us
The NSERC Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Canada (SOFCC) Strategic Research Network was formed in January, 2008. The Network is an association of 21 research groups from universities and government partnered with Canadian industries.

The 5 year technical goals of the Network are focused on improving the lifetime, performance, and fuel flexibility of two next-generation ‘Made in Canada’ SOFC technologies. These are a metal-supported planar system developed by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and an anode-supported tubular SOFC platform developed by Alberta Innovates - Technology Futures (AITF). A longer-term objective is the commercialization of these two technologies. The Network research activities are interlinked and organized thematically:

Network Structure:
The Network administrative structure consists of a Board, a Network Technical Committee and a Technology Transfer/Commercialization Committee. The Network Managing Director, located at the Network hub (University of Calgary), handles the daily operations of the Network.
